Ladoga, Dec. 2 -- Jonas T. Gish, well known resident of Ladoga died at 6 a.m. Thursday at the home of his son, Charles Gish. Mr. G. was born Oct 29, 1838 in Va. and was the son of John & Cassie Gish. He was united in mariage about 60 years ago to Mahala SWINDLER who passed away in 1921. Two sons, Charles and Meade, both of Ladoga and one brother, Jerry, also of Ladoga, survive. The funeral services will be conducted from the home Sat. afternoon at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. SG Smith in charge. Burial will be made in the Ladoga Cemetery Mr. Gish was a veteran of the Civil War, servicing with the Confederate army. - kbz
